Hospital Shakeup – Activists Threaten National Changes

Dr. Anita Fernander, a prominent academic and psychologist, has been instrumental in spreading leftist ideologies across three medical schools through her leadership in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs. Her influence has been significant, shaping the approach to race and healthcare in these institutions. Fernander currently holds a pivotal role at the University of New Mexico’s (UNM) School of Medicine, where she is the executive diversity officer and a professor in the department of family and community medicine.

Fernander’s tenure at UNM is marked by a lucrative salary package, reflecting her dual roles in administration and academia. Her responsibilities at UNM are broad, encompassing a range of initiatives aimed at promoting DEI throughout the medical school’s operations. She has been tasked with addressing issues related to various diversity groups, including Native American/Indigenous, Anti-Racism/-Ethnoracism, LGBTQ+, Women’s, Latina/o/x, Hispanic or of Spanish Origin+ (LHS+), Disability, Asian/Pacific Islander, Black/African-American, DACA.

Her academic contributions include literature advocating the incorporation of anti-white critical race theory (CRT) into medicine. Fernander argues that CRT is essential for understanding and addressing health disparities and inequities experienced by racialized populations in the U.S. This perspective aligns with the broader push to implement CRT in medical schools across the country.

Additionally, Fernander has been involved in developing a workshop on CRT in medicine, alongside another UNM school of medicine professor. This workshop focused on the application of CRT in the academic medical field, proposing that it provides a necessary context for understanding racial health disparities.

Fernander’s work extends beyond the academic realm. She has been actively engaged in shaping policies and practices within the medical school community. This includes her involvement in creating a “recruitment roadmap” for building an equitable and inclusive medical profession at UNM. The roadmap outlines strategies for addressing bias in the recruitment process and promoting markers of DEI in various aspects of medical education and practice.

Before her current role at UNM, Fernander played a significant role in initiating and expanding DEI programs at two other medical schools – Florida Atlantic University (FAU) and the University of Kentucky (UK). At FAU, she was the inaugural chief officer for justice, equity, diversity & inclusion (JEDI) and an interim department chair & professor. At UK, she served as the DEI Director and an Associate Professor in the College of Medicine’s Department of Behavioral Science.

Fernander’s impact on these institutions has been profound, with her initiatives influencing the direction of medical education and shaping the future of healthcare professionals. Her work reflects a growing trend in medical education, where DEI principles and leftist ideologies are increasingly becoming integral components of the curriculum and institutional policies.

  1. I don’t know about you; but if I were to have a serious health problem that required surgery or any other type of major medical procedure, I’d want to make sure that the medical/healthcare professionals were those that were the most qualified in regard to their knowledge, skills and abilities and not someone who just fit into a particular “DEI” category. These so-called “medical professionals/experts” should be very careful as to the various phony societal programs they install in their medical institutions (schools, hospitals, clinics, etc.) as their penchant for pushing “DEI” over merit/skill will eventually end up in a massive amount of medical malpractice lawsuits. When it comes to your health, you want the most knowledgeable, skillful doctor available and not the ones whose only claim to fame is the fact that they fit into a particular societal demographic. It is beginning to appear as if the medical profession has thrown their Hippocratic oath to the winds as the patient’s care is no longer their top priority. The only thing that counts is where the medical professional fits in the “DEI” profile.

  2. This $H!T must end NOW!! Why are we putting up with this crap! This DEI will be the death of MILLIONS of innocent people when the DEI placements will kill patients with simple procedures that are usually cured but now will be botched by DEI placed hacks instead of REAL DOCTORS and NURSES.
