Three female high school basketball players sustained significant injuries while playing against a 6-foot male opponent on the other team who identified as a female. That resulted in the basketball team having to forfeit the match.
Collegiate Charter School of Lowell, Massachusetts’s coach Kevin Ortins made the decision to postpone their playoff game four days in advance, calling it off before halfway because his starting players were out of position and his squad was starting to thin down.
The school lost their match against KIPP Academy as a consequence.
There was a 6-foot-6 male player on the KIPP Academy females team who had facial hair and a tiny ponytail, according to Fox News and the local Massachusetts magazine The Daily Item.
An user named “InsideLowell” posted a video of the basketball game on YouTube, allegedly showing the KIPP player in issue battling with a collegiate player for the ball.
The footage shows the other player losing consciousness, gripping her back, and trying desperately to get back up.
Riley Gaines, a competitive swimmer who qualified for the 2021 Olympic trials and was a member of the University of Kentucky’s NCAA swim team, offered her own thoughts on Twitter’s X platform in response to the current event.
Gaines is well-known on social media for criticizing biological men who experience gender dysphoria, identify as female, and decide to compete against biological females in sports despite having a definite, scientifically supported edge.
Gaines has no problem attacking organizations, establishments, and the transgender community for their obvious disdain and lack of concern for biological female athletes whose opportunities for scholarships and general enjoyment are being stolen by guys. Many of the gender-ambiguous athletes that Gaines has previously decried had formerly competed against athletes of their own biological sex, but they were never successful or won any races.
The gender-ambiguous athlete received death threats, according to The Daily Item, which led to the cancellation of KIPP’s Friday game against Lynn Tech. Collegiate stated in a statement that the players who were still healthy “feared being hurt and not being able to compete in the playoffs.”
“According to the statement, the school “reiterates its ideals of both inclusion and safety for all students.”
When The Daily Item asked KIPP Academy’s athletic director, Anthony Grimaldi, if the school believed that Collegiate’s forfeit was due to the male athlete who identifies as female, he declined to respond.
“KIPP would prefer not to comment on the opposing team’s forfeit of the game at this time. We are excited for our next match,” Grimaldi remarked.
Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association rulebook Section 43.3.1 states, “A student should not be prohibited from participation on a gender-specific sports team that is compatible with the student’s bona fide gender identification.”

Anyone who does not know that men have a competitive advantage in sports is ignorant. When men who cannot win competing as men decide they want to compete as women they are proving the competitive advantage that men have. Some girls have tried out for boys teams, but never claiming to be boys. I think this is because they know they cannot fool anyone into believing they are boys and many who do this have the desire to prove they are as good as the boys. If you desire to prove that girls are as good as boys you are not going to compete as a boy when you are a biological girl. Sometimes girls like to compete in a sport for which there is no girls team so they try out for a spot on the team in that sport. Wrestling is a recent example of this. Many states have added girls wrestling as a result of this. Boys in general did not like to wrestle against girls. One reason for this is where you have to touch your opponent. I think another would be that they would not want to be teased as being weak should they lose to a girl.
