Europeans feel totally sad and upset for Americans because of our recent Supreme Court decisions to expand concealed carry gun rights and to allow states to restrict or expand abortion. Uh… you European guys do realize that the Louisiana law that the Supreme Court upheld to overturn Roe v. Wade is actually less restrictive than current abortion law in France, right?
Anyway, this Don Draper meme illustrates the way that most patriotic Americans feel whenever Europeans tell us they feel bad about our freedoms. We don’t think about the Europeans at all.
If they don’t like our freedoms, there’s a real simple fix for that. Stay where you are. Enjoy living in totally gun controlled Britain where you’re not being overrun by machete-wielding Islamic terrorists. Enjoy that “knife control” in London, guys! We’ll just be over here sharpening our AR-15s.
Have you noticed that they never feel sorry for us when the government tries to take more of our freedoms away? “Gee, sorry your small businesses were destroyed by government lockdowns over COVID” is not a thing they’ll ever say to us. That should tell you everything.
