Fair Trial? What The Media Really Wants For Trump

The Constitution protects everyone’s right to a fair trial. American principles are based on the assumption of innocence and the right to a fair trial. However, Democrats, who present themselves as the party defending “our democracy,” have made it quite evident that they would not grant Trump the same level of justice that they would expect for anybody else.

Sunny Hostin voiced worries about the impending criminal trial regarding former President Trump and his non-disclosure legal agreement with Stormy Daniels during Tuesday’s broadcast of ABC’s “The View.” Hostin voiced her worry that a Trump supporter on the jury may taint its objectivity.

Hostin expressed particular anxiety about the possibility that a jury would declare, “I despise Trump.” However, I am unbiased,” thereby jeopardizing the trial’s fairness.

“But for someone like myself, that is amazing because fifty individuals said, ‘I cannot even be impartial,’ and I respect them for being honest and frank because being a juror requires honesty,” she remarked. “Nevertheless, I am still confident that they can assemble a fair jury. They cannot possibly find someone who is unaware of the twice-impeached loser president, can they?”

Joy Behar, her co-host, concurred.

The legal teams will be looking through the jurors’ social media accounts to see if they can access the veracity and intent of what they stated during voir dire, or their questioning, she added. This is another aspect of my Super Bowl experience that caught my attention. And that is why I believe it is so crucial: if you start to like Trump and follow his content on social media, will you be able to remain objective? Not in my opinion.

Naturally, she doesn’t.

“And we were talking about it this morning, but I suppose what could happen in a case like this if you had someone called Clay Travis sort of telling folks to get onto that jury,” she said. “You have the ability to hang that jury if one individual gets onto it with bad intentions.”

“How can one infiltrate a jury?” inquired Joy Behar, the co-host. “I need to summon you before a jury.”

“All right, you are lying. You tell lies. Say, “I detest Trump.” However, I am unbiased. “I also did this and that.” Hostin explained. “And suddenly, without warning, that individual refuses to cast a vote to convict.”

“How many bloated orange psychos are out there, and where are they going to find a jury of his peers?” Behar questioned.

“Yes. It will not be easy.”

Her analysis oddly omitted any mention of the possibility of Trump detractors serving on the jury. However, everyone is aware of the reason. Hostin, who despises Trump, claims that allowing only Trump detractors to serve on the jury will be the only way he can have an unbiased jury. Why? Due to their inclination to convict.

To be honest, the jury must be evenly divided between Trump supporters and detractors in order for Trump to have a fair trial, at least in terms of jury selection. Why? Because in order for both sides to be able to agree, the proof must be strong enough. A hung jury, of course, just takes one hater and one fan, and as long as there are a few Trump supporters on the jury, a hung jury is probably going to go in Trump’s favor.
