A Rasmussen survey found that two-thirds of people think President Joe Biden should face opposition in the Democratic primary and that less than 50% of voters want Biden to seek for reelection in 2024.
Biden should seek for re-election as president in 2024, according to 39% of potential US voters, while 48% feel he shouldn’t. Another 13% are uncertain.
Just 21% of Americans oppose Democratic opponents for Biden, while 66% think that if he stands for re-election in 2024, other Democrats should compete against him in the Democratic presidential primary. Another 13% are uncertain.
Attorney Robert F. Kennedy Jr. submitted the necessary paperwork to begin his 2024 presidential campaign in the first week of April. RFK Jr.’s candidacy has the support of 46% of voters, including 18% who are very supportive. 20% of those who are opposed to Kennedy’s presidential bid are highly opposed, and another 23% are still unsure.
Furthermore, RFK Jr.’s presidential campaign is supported by 52% of Democratic voters, including 25% of those who strongly favor it. Additionally, 44% of independent voters and 40% of Republicans support Kennedy strongly.
Democrats are 62% in favor of Biden making another attempt at the presidency in 2024. In a similar vein, 62% of Democratic voters think that other Democrats need to challenge Biden in the pre-election contests. In comparison, 29% of independent voters and 22% of Republicans think Biden should run for president again in 2024. Republicans (71%) and independent voters (64%) agree that Biden should face competition from other Democrats in the primary.
39% of non-black minorities, 46% of black voters, and 37% of white voters think Biden should run for president again in 2024. Regarding race, RFK Jr.’s presidential campaign had some support from 41% of white voters, 52% of non-black minorities, and 58% of black voters.
Kennedy’s best fans tend to be individuals who earn above $100,000 per year in terms of socioeconomic standing.
With regard to the general election, Biden should face a right-wing nationalist opponent due to his careless economic policies, the choice to leave the border open, and terrible foreign policy in Ukraine. Because of his disregard for policy, he must be released from the responsibility of holding a higher position.
