Bernie Sanders is Such an Incredible Optimist

That wacky Bernie Sanders! He can find the bright side of just about any situation! Here we have him praising the all-you-can-eat breadsticks on the Titanic. That is such a great point!

Seriously, though, Bernie Sanders’ disgusting defense of the communist regime in Cuba was probably the thing that destroyed his 2020 campaign the most. In case you missed it, Sanders actually praised the murderous and thankfully-now-dead dictator Fidel Castro’s “revolution” in Cuba during one of the last debate performances before Super Tuesday.

The Vermont senator claimed it wasn’t all bad because Castro set up a literacy program and other free giveaways. Yeah, Bernie, those were probably really great. Except for the Cubans who were locked in concentration camps for things like having skin that was too dark for Castro’s liking, or the people he carved up with chainsaws for disagreeing with him politically.

Bernie is just Mr. Brightside, isn’t he?

In fact, Bernie Sanders is such a silver-lining kind of guy that he’s actually staying in the 2020 race now, even though there is no path to the nomination in which he could still win enough delegates. But being an eternal optimist, Bernie is probably hoping that Joe Biden won’t make it until November.
