It’s official — liberal meme pages are going to be playing the “Nazi card” until the end of time…and perhaps find a way to continue doing so afterward.
There’s a good chance you’ve seen this image before. This famous photograph shows a Nazi rally wherein a sea of Germans loyally raise their hands in the characteristic Nazi salute, but one man stands defiantly with his arms crossed.
By every calculation, this was a bold move. Unfortunately, leftist pages have co-opted this display of ideological bravery to virtue signal their followers into believing that they represent the true resistance against tyranny.
“Another Antifa punk crashing a rally without a permit!” the caption reads.
Here’s the problem: there’s not a whole lot of Antifa-like activity going on. As in, the man is standing proudly in normal attire, and doesn’t appear to be disrupting anyone around him. Antifa protesters, by contrast, have become a household name in the United States by arriving at rallies completely disguised with their faces covered, and participate in activities that often include vandalism and violence towards their ideological opponents.
This normalization of radicalism has to end quickly.
