We truly live in unprecedented times in the United States.
In 2018, we can say with absolute certainty that every citizen — regardless of race, religious background, social standing, or sexual orientation — enjoys the same constitutional protections and freedoms under the rule of law. This includes every member of the LGBT community, regardless of what the reactionary left will tell you these days.
Of course, having so much freedom makes leftist movements essentially irrelevant. So, in order to stay active and maintain the spotlight, organizations who focus on these issues are pressured to invent problems instead. This is what we think is happening every time a new letter is added to the LGBT+ acronym.
Apparently, the letter ‘K’ has been added to the acronym. We’re not sure what it means, and we’re not sure what the rest of the alphabet soup this is turning into means either. We’re not even sure why there’s a ‘B’ (which stands for bisexual) and a ‘T’ (transexual/transgender), seeing as the former implies there are only, in fact two genders, and the latter negates this.
This is why it’s so difficult for many Americans to accept the entirety of the LGBT movement — because it’s hilariously ill-defined and often demands unreasonable things, such as a rejection of basic biology. Perhaps it was never intended to make sense to begin with?
