Why Can’t Socialists Ever Seem to Find That Perfect Country?

This meme actually had to be cut down in order for it to fit on this page…

Here, we see the classic “jealous girlfriend” meme at its best, with the “socialist” in question shown ignoring actual examples of his philosophy, and turning his attention to a country that doesn’t exist.

This underscores one of the more frustrating things about debating Marxists. They insist their ideas are the perfect way to end class struggle and political strife, yet every time their formula has been employed, entire civilizations have been reduced to ruin.

Venezuela is just the tip of the iceberg. Historical examples we weren’t able to show include Cambodia, Mao’s China, Cuba, and the Soviet Union. Many leftists would likely use China as a retort, ignoring the fact that the communist country has actually abandoned many of its founding principles, and has significantly opened up its borders to international businesses — including many western ones.

At this point, you would figure that socialists would give up trying to apply their magical remedies, and consider the fact that they are simply wrong about economics. However, it’s not politically expedient to do so, so we can expect this list of “girlfriends” to continue growing while the rest of the world watches.
