There’s just something inherently funny about Santa Claus slapping the tar out of Batman’s sidekick, Robin. This meme could have been created without the text bubbles, and we still probably would have gotten a chuckle out of it.
Anyway, it’s that time of year once again, so we’ll soon be hearing more about the War on Christmas, no doubt. In recent years, we’ve seen everything from teachers viciously punishing kindergarteners for saying “Merry Christmas” to retailers banning their employees from saying “Merry Christmas” to their customers.
In case there’s any doubt in your mind, try saying “Merry Christmas” to someone you know. It won’t hurt, we promise. Likewise, if someone says “Merry Christmas” to you – we guarantee that it won’t cause you any physical pain. Even if you’re not a Christian or if you do not celebrate Christmas in your household, it won’t hurt you to have someone issue that greeting to you. We promise.
But if you want to run around telling people “Happy Holidays” because you feel like you want to score cheap political points or hurt the feelings of children, consider yourself warned. Santa doesn’t like that… and he has a mean backswing.
