This is Why Socialism Terrifies Your Family Pets

This is admittedly a bit morbid, but it’s not exactly inaccurate either.

Socialist countries throughout history have been known for many things: repression of political freedoms, floundering economies, and perhaps some feel-good rhetoric from the state about how everything is owned by everyone. One thing they are not known for is an over-abundance of food and other basic necessities.

This is why one of the most shocking things to people fleeing socialist oppression and taking refuge in the United States is grocery stores.

We’re currently seeing this brutal reality play out in Venezuela, where there have been numerous reports of people eating stray dogs as food supplies become more strained. You would think that left-wing dog moms who refuse to have children because of racism (or something) would appreciate this point, but apparently it’s just “not real socialism.”

Capitalism continues to be both the most moral system for generating wealth, as well as the most effective. Your family pets are sure to agree.
