It’s no secret that leftists, which are overwhelmingly over-represented in America’s mainstream media, are rather secular folk. Prayer is not really a part of their daily lives, and they make no apologies for it.
This is perfectly fine, of course. After all, the United States of America was founded on the premise that one can freely choose to practice any religion — or no religion at all — without fear of persecution. But, a lack of a belief in God doesn’t necessarily make one less spiritual, or even less “religious” in a certain sense. If you really think about it, modern leftists are among the most pious people in America.
But, leftists don’t worship God. They don’t believe values are bestowed by a benevolent creator. They worship government. They believe values are gifted by a self-righteous intellectual elite. Considering their objects of worship manifest themselves in the metaphysical, you could easily make the argument that leftist religion is far more dangerous when taken to the extreme.
