One is a billionaire business man who spent his entire adult life in the private sector. He dominated the New York real estate market, one of the most competitive in the world. He used his success in the industry to cross over into the entertainment industry, becoming a household name as early as the 1980s. Along the way, he’s created an untold number of jobs, which all shared in his success.
The other is a social activist that did not once participate in the private sector in any substantial capacity. He spent his career protesting, publicly supporting communists, and doing everything possible to avoid a paycheck. At one point, he was even booted from a hippie commune for not doing enough of the chores. He exploded into popularity in 2016, when he mesmerized the most depressed generation in a century into believing his “free everything” scam actually works.
