The Most Dishonest Headline of 2018 (So Far…)

You gotta love it when fake news articles end up disproving themselves within just a few short paragraphs.

If you shared this article on social media, most of the people who follow you would only see the headline, vaguely recognize the source, and accept it as legitimate. Only the elite few would actually click on the link you provided and read through it. These are the people who would quickly find out that this Daily Mail article is fake news at its finest.

Moving past the headline, the article states that women on average are now working just north of 30 hours a week. By contrast, men are working a bit less than they used to, but the aggregate still amounts to over 40 hours. In other words, men are still working longer hours than women. This is precisely the opposite of what the article’s headline tells you.

If anyone doubts the existence of fake news, you need to show them this image. The media is very obviously trying to advance an agenda here, and it does a terrible job for those who actually pay attention. Sadly, most people don’t pay attention, so headlines like this are shared while being completely unchallenged.
