Tax Cut Critics Mysteriously Silent on Tax Day

Yesterday marked the day when every American seriously considers voting Libertarian for the rest of their lives, with critics of the recently passed round of tax cuts falling mysteriously silent.

This comes shortly after reports circulated that another tax-slashing piece of legislation could be making its rounds through the halls of Congress. However, with midterm election campaigns heating up, its unlikely there will be any serious change to public policy until after the votes are counted.

President Donald Trump signed historic tax cuts in late 2017, with the bulk of the cuts set to be felt next year. Critics slammed the legislation in the way they normally do — arguing that higher-earning Americans don’t need the cuts, and should instead be paying their “fair share” to offset a supposed disproportionate burden placed on the poor.

It’s worth pointing out that, as this meme points out, Americans are always free to make donations to whichever service they see fit. But, we see no reason to expect that to occur en masse any time soon.
