A huge report was issued this week outlining the catastrophic amounts of LGBLTMNOWhatever characters that have been oozing into children’s TV shows in recent years. Pretty much every cartoon on TV these days features gay or trans characters and/or couples.
Of course, this was totally shocking to anyone who has not been a parent for the past 25 years or so. Breitbart News did a big story on this and found that there are an astonishing 259 gay and trans characters on cartoons and TV shows aimed at kids. Propaganda much, Hollywood?
This blatant shoehorning of gays into every TV show is why recent surveys of Americans found that many adults believe that 30% of the population is gay, despite the overall gay “community” hovering around less than 1% of the population since forever.
And if parents complain about this propaganda, they’re immediately hit with a strawman argument about how they are bigoted homophobes, which misses the point completely. It’s not that parents have anything against gays; they simply don’t want their kids’ TV shows to have any sexualized content in it. This meme probably captures the way that most kids feel about the issue, too.
