We know that Big Tech and the American left hate memes, and for good reason. They don’t have a sense of humor, first of all. But more importantly, they just can’t handle the truth.
It’s a historical fact that the Democrat Party did not vote to abolish slavery, did not vote to grant US citizenship to freed slaves, and did not vote to give blacks the right to vote. Republicans did all of those things, just as it was Republicans that passed the Civil Rights Act in 1964 to finally force Democrats to acknowledge that blacks are equal under the law with the rest of Americans.
It might seem like a pointless little thing to pass memes like this around online, but it’s not. Democrats, Big Tech and Big Media hate these types of memes because they are effective.
Memes like this shift the Overton Window to the right and play an important role in the culture war. You never know who is going to come across this meme and learn this information for the first time – and it will be an eye-opening and life-changing moment for them.
