Karen Just Called 911 on You for Looking at This Meme

It’s almost getting to the point in 2020 where we can’t even laugh at the Karens of the world anymore…but we’ll try.

Here we have Linda Hamilton from the movie poster for one of the Terminator reboot movies that we refused to see, but with it repurposed as a “Karen” film.

If you’ve been living under a rock, “Karen” is a term to describe a bossy middle-aged woman who seems to get her thrills by berating minimum-wage customer service clerks. The term is also being used a lot to refer to snitches during the coronavirus lockdowns.

If you don’t wear your mask properly in public or don’t socially distance correctly, a Karen is likely to speak out against you in order to publicly shame. Or, she’ll just call 911 if she’s a California Karen.

The irony of this meme is that there’s nothing “tough” or “edgy” about being a Karen. The Karens of the world are really just a bunch of bitter… rhymes-with-witches.

We’ll end by apologizing to all of our readers who are actually named Karen — we’re sorry there is an entire class of people bent on butchering your given name.
