This meme is a bit of a throwback to the Discovery channel program Mythbusters, but that’s right about where its charm ends.
Mythbusters was a popular program wherein the presenters would reenact movie stunts, urban legends, and other feats to determine whether or not they were based on any actual science.
The meme is a play on how a show segment would conclude when a “myth” was found to be untrue. The top caption reads “government can be run like a business”, followed by the signature phrase “myth busted”. Below it is a picture of President Trump.
But this so-called “myth” hasn’t been busted. If anything, it’s shown that government can and should be run like a business for the rest of time.
Since assuming office, President Trump has been crushing his initial promise to scrap two regulations for each new one. Instead, he’s repealed a whopping 16 regulations for each new law to hit the books.
Both Wall Street and Main Street have been reflecting this Reagan-esque approach. Stock prices have soared to record levels, and the private sector has been adding new jobs each month.
