Senators Ron Johnson (R-WI) along with Chuck Grassley (R-IA) wrote to Special Counsel John Durham to ask him why several former FBI officers refused to help with his inquiry into the FBI’s probe into possible Russian connection with the Trump campaign.
Johnson and Grassley asked Durham to clarify “what if any, actions” his office took to gather information from significant figures in the Russian collusion hoax about a week after the Durham report’s publication, which cleared former President Trump of any wrongdoing and supported the president’s claims that he had been targeted by a politicized federal law enforcement agency.
“As we examined the report further, the senators noted that “a number of high-ranking former government officials who were intimately connected to Crossfire Hurricane either refused or partially refused to offer assistance with your investigation. Given your office’s ability to force testimony and documents, it seems strange that people are permitted to withhold all necessary cooperation.”
It says in the letter:
During the course of the former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s inquiry, his office “issued over 2,800 subpoenas and carried out roughly 500 search warrants.” We know that your agency, on the other hand, “served over 190 subpoenas under the direction of grand juries” in addition to “executing seven search warrants.”
The senators specifically asked for information on Glenn Simpson, the CEO of Fusion GPS, former FBI Director James Comey, former FBI investigation agent Peter Strzok, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, former Assistant Director of the FBI intel Bill Priestap, former FBI investigation agent Peter Strzok, and former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith.
The letter asks Durham to respond by May 30th about the following:
- Any of the people mentioned above were they served with a summons?
- Did the Justice Department or any of its divisions obstruct your office’s investigation efforts in any way?
- Which agents from the FBI’s Counterintelligence division “refused to cooperate”? Which employees ultimately complied?
- Give examples of how each person “refused to cooperate.”
The FBI launched a politically motivated attack against the president, using flimsy justifications to “swiftly” launch an investigation into him while dismissing information that Clinton’s campaign planned to spread a false story of Russia collusion in order to draw attention away from her mishandling of a private server, as Durham’s report confirmed.
Wray, and the other FBI LEADER need to come clean or face a firing squad! Once the truth is out in the open. I bet you start reading how so many committed suicide happens! If that the case then they knew democrats control them! And every Democrat politician need to be executed as well. Including those RINO!
Defund and abolish! It is the only way to stop the Marxist deep state that is destroying our nation! And not just the FBI but all the alphabet soup agencies!
Only when these people are held accountable under the LAW will things change. As of now this is not happening.
I don’t think many of us can fathom why Durham failed to follow up on the info he had against so many FBI who were Transparently biased against the then President. It doesn’t make sense, unless ………..
