We also appreciate the piercing gaze in George’s eyes in this meme. In most of the post-1776 portraits of George, he has that incredible thousand-yard stare. That’s a dude that has seen some stuff and is willing to back up his words with actions.
We can already guess what you’re doing right now. You’re looking up other portraits of George. Do you see it now? That’s a man who raised an army against the greatest empire in the world (at the time) and won. And he didn’t think fondly of censorship.
The Big Tech companies that underestimate the steely spines of the American middle class could do themselves a favor by looking at George’s eyes. Maybe they’d back down if they realized what they’re stirring up. But they won’t.
