It’s always nice to see the First Family set some time aside for the children.
Of course, for First Lady Melania Trump, we mean this pretty literally. FLOTUS has carried out her outreach missions well, and she continues to take the time to reach out to America’s youth when she can and how she can. Really, Melania is everything we could want from a First Lady.
Her husband, however, has been forced to meet with children of a different variety — that is, the leaders of the Democratic Party. President Trump recently staged a televised meeting with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and soon-to-be House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. While this meeting certainly didn’t go as smoothly as Melania reading a book to school children, it was still everything we could have wanted.
Perhaps the best moment came when Rep. Pelosi indicated that she would prefer to talk politics with the president in private — that is, away from the cameras. Trump, responding only as Trump can, dismissed that immediately, saying that he believed in government transparency. It was amazing.
