CNN’s Russia Obsession is Reaching Comical Levels

What you’re seeing here is CNN’s programming in a nutshell…

With President Donald Trump still seemingly innocent of any so-called “collusion” with the Russian government in securing an electoral victory in 2016, CNN is finding it hard to move on. Of course, that isn’t stopping the network from keeping the narrative alive by any means possible.

Let’s not forget that Russian President Vladimir Putin, a dictator in his own right fresh out of “re-election”, wasn’t a political boogeyman until a few short years ago. Networks like CNN were completely silent when the former KGB officer annexed the countries Georgia and Crimea while then-President Barack Obama essentially sat and watched. The former president himself even scoffed at the notion that Russia was still a hostile actor to be wary of.

Even during Obama’s lame-duck years, Democrats barely lifted a finger when it became apparent there were forces on the ground trying to repeat the process in Ukraine.

Now, with a Republican in the White House, Russia couldn’t be any more of a looming threat. Progressives in the media are absolutely beside themselves with anything Russian, convinced the White House is entirely complicit with their evil activities — never mind the fact that Trump recently green-lit a litany of sanctions against the country.
