Bernie Sanders is That Kid We ALL Knew Back in School

Over the past century, socialism has had many faces. Most of these faces have been long forgotten — left to waste away as Soviet apologists work overtime to make us forget about how horrifying their philosophy truly was. Others, however, have endured — and are now worshipped by those who weren’t alive to see just how destructive socialism is.

In 1919, we saw the rise of Soviet communism, which slowly morphed into a socialist-fascistic hybrid when Joseph Stalin took the reins from the deceased Vladimir Lenin. For decades after, it was easy to understand what communism was: the state replacing every aspect of life, and controlling everything else in-between. It wasn’t until Gorbachev took over as the Soviet Premier that the Soviets finally began to understand just how wrong they have been. It was around this time that a social activist named Bernie Sanders honeymooned in the Soviet Union.

Bernie Sanders is attempting to rebrand socialism. You see, it’s “democratic socialism”, and democracy is good, right?

Here’s the thing — it doesn’t matter how many people are in charge of a system. If the system sucks, which socialism does, then all that means is that you have more people to point the finger at when the system collapses.
