There is a profound difference between skilled and unskilled labor. Prior to automation, skilled laborers often relied on the support from unskilled laborers to help them execute their larger vision. This is a relationship that ultimately benefitted everyone involved.

We’ve already seen what this sort of logic does to nations. It’s led to the economic and cultural collapse of the Soviet Union, and is currently devouring Venezuela right before our eyes.
