Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar is one of those gifts that keeps on giving. Alongside other freshman lawmakers like Rashida Tlaib and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Omar is a living example of just how far the Democratic Party is willing to go to appease its radicalized base.
Omar seems to get in trouble for saying something grossly offensive every two weeks or so. Since being sworn in to Congress, she has made multiple anti-semitic statements, including a tweet that suggested that Jewish Americans have a “dual loyalty” between the U.S. and Israel. She has also suggested that America’s alliance with the Jewish state is based on magical Jew money.
Now, she’s in trouble again, this time for criminally minimizing the terrorist attacks on 9/11. In a speech that attempted to suggest that Muslim Americans have been victimized since the attacks (they haven’t), she used the phrase “somebody did something” to describe how radical Islamic terrorists hijacked planes to murder over 3,000 Americans.
We can only hope voters will remember these words in 2020.
