If you lost count of all the so-called scandals that should have led to President Donald Trump’s impeachment since he was elected in 2016, this cartoon has you covered.
Remember, the central question that led to basically everything else you see here is the allegation that Trump colluded with the Russian government to win his election against Democrat Hillary Clinton. That’s it: his election was a fraud, and therefore his presidency is illegitimate. Everything the Democrats have put forward since then is built on that.
As we’ve pointed out many times, there is no evidence that the president colluded with Russia or any other foreign actor — former attorney and disgraced felon Michael Cohen admits as much. Then again, Trump’s one-time fixer also alleges the president didn’t actually want to win the election in the first place, and many on the progressive left seem to take him at his word on this. Now, if that’s the case…why exactly would he want to collude with a foreign power at all if he thought it was going to help him win? Doesn’t make any sense, does it?
So, whatever point we’re at with the Democrats throwing mud at the president, this cartoon is a good reference point. Keep in mind that we could easily fall back onto any one of these, because it’s clear that the president isn’t going anywhere.
