According to the mainstream media, President Donald Trump is a nightmare for racial minorities. But when you break down what the president has done for the economy, the precise reverse holds true.
When progressives say black Americans have had it rough, they’re not entirely wrong. It was barely a generation ago when many blacks had to live with signs telling them where they could and could not go. Restaurants refused service. Drinking fountains were segregated. There was a very real struggle many had to go through.
In the Trump era, more black Americans are working than ever before. Fathers are staying with their partners and supporting their families. And, if we accept the left’s premise that more income equals less crime, then we also have to accept that blacks are far less prone to less than reputable lifestyles in inner cities, where this was sadly once considered a norm.
The same cannot be said for President Trump’s predecessors who, like many Democrats, saw blacks as little more than political pawns to boost their voter rolls.
