Rep. Chip Roy didn’t hold back when he talked about the failure theater going on in the House of Representatives this week. RedState said that Representative Matt Gaetz asked Speaker Kevin McCarthy to step down and filed a move to vacate. Right now, that fight is going on in the House, where Democrats want to join only a handful of Republicans to get rid of McCarthy. It’s not clear what will happen next because the people behind this move don’t seem to have any plans at all.
Roy has clearly chosen to side with McCarthy. Getting rid of the Speaker and letting chaos happen in the midst of an impeachment investigation is obviously self-destructive because there is no plan. There’s not much point in fighting if it helps the other side. To the extent that Joe Biden can understand what’s going on, he must be thrilled about it.
Now let me talk about Roy’s most recent statements. Some people called him a “RINO” because he didn’t give the Democrats such a big win, but he’s over it.
ROY: “I would also say that a number of our brothers and sisters, especially those in the MAGA camp, really like firing squads that go around and around.” You can kiss my behind if you want to consider me a RINO. I’ve spent my whole life working for conservative ideas and limited government. I’ve put everything on the line. In the past 30 days, I’ve only seen my family twice. Yes, you people who talk big and pound your chests on Twitter should come to my office and have a discussion, Mom.”
“Do you know why?” Due to the fact that I defend this country every day. Steve, I’m not giving up, and I’m not going to become a nun just because of it. People who died in Normandy deserve us to keep standing up for what they courageously fought for. I am going to do that. And every one of you ******** who say what you post on social media, shut up. As a representative, I will do my job as well as stand up for those who fought for our country. I will do it in the way I believe is best for the people I serve. That’s what I believe.”

It’s important not to forget that Roy negotiated and got all of McCarthy’s agreements when he first became Speaker. This includes the investigations that conservatives asked for and are still going on. It’s funny that someone would call him a RINO. Rep. Thomas Massie is the only other member of the House who might be more conservative than him.

the reason so many people on the commentary side are saying what they do is that the “work” being done for the American people is done mostly in back rooms with no REAL reporting. Noone outside their fraternity knows what is going on. All we see if billions more for a country that is known for corruption/stealing/taking our children’s future and we’re supposed to believe ONE guy is making all the difference? BULLSHIT. As a veteran caring for our country I cannot believe the people who chose to destroy our country. I think Jordon would be great for a Republican speaker. He falls in line with the Republicans caring little for the people. Allowing kids to be mistreated before running for office. He says so what the. Another fact checker to consider. Sexual misconduct complaints ignored by Jordan. I put Jordan in line with MTG, Santos and of course Geitz.
