Following the terrorist strikes by the Palestinian Hamas group this week, President Biden expressed his strong support for Israel. However, he made no mention of following President Trump’s lead and cutting off funding that might have aided in the financing of terrorism.
Actually, due to worries about the payments that the Palestinian Authority (PA) provides to terrorists and their families—a practice known by detractors as the “pay to slay” program—President Donald Trump became the first American president to halt funding to the Palestinians.
Direct American assistance to the Palestinians began in the 1990s when Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), then regarded as a terrorist organization, signed the Oslo Peace Accords. The Congressional Research Service estimates that between 1994 and 2018, US aid to the PA amounted to around $5 billion.
In addition, the United States provided around $6 billion to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) between 1950 and 2018, which is a unique organization that only handles Palestinian “refugees,” the majority of whom haven’t been considered refugees for generations.
However, after Hamas defeated the purportedly “moderate” Fatah movement (which also encourages anti-Israel violence) in legislative elections, President George W. Bush started rerouting funds from Gaza to the West Bank, also known as Judea and Samaria in Israel.
After the PA broke a number of promises, President Barack Obama cut back on help to the Palestinians. But in his last hours in office, he provided $221 million to the Palestinians. He also promised almost $1 billion to help rebuild Gaza after Hamas started a war there in 2008–2009.
Because they were afraid of making the PA less stable, no government before Trump cut back on help to the Palestinians in a big way. And after Trump passed the Taylor Force Act in 2018, which stops U.S. government money from going to the PA as long as it supports “pay to slay,” a huge drop in money going to the PA happened. Trump also cut off funding to UNRWA and made public threats to stop helping the Palestinians in general.
In 2018, Trump cut off $500 million in help to the Palestinians and more than $100 million to the UNRWA.
Under Trump’s Middle East peace proposal of 2020, the Palestinians will get $50 billion in exchange for peace with Israel. They said no.
Hundreds of young people were massacred by Hamas terrorists while attending a trance music event in southern Israel this week. The mother of one of the victims spoke out against providing aid to Palestinian organizations, even for humanitarian reasons. She told MSNBC:
“Every dollar you contribute or give to Hamas is used to fund terror. It doesn’t help the poor Arabs in Gaza. If they had spent the billions that they received from the EU and other groups, they could have made this place a paradise.”
When Biden became president in 2021, he returned some funds to the Palestinians, but not to the PA directly because it would not end the “pay to slay” strategy.
According to a lawsuit, the Biden administration was aware that some of the cash may be used to indirectly help the terrorist group Hamas, by enabling Hamas to allocate its resources to war preparations instead of to the provision of social and economic necessities for the Palestinian people.
Even though these things were possible, Biden sent hundreds of millions of dollars to Palestinian groups.

I think President Trump was one of the best Presidents we have ever had. Everyone that wanted to work was working and life was good, that is until the DIMOCRATS decided that they wanted to put an Idiot in charge and we got Slow Joe Biden, He is in fact the first President in my lifetime that could not figure who it was that took a dump in his pants! But the good thing was the fact that the whole world knew we had a very weak president and life went down hill from there. Now we have a chance to get who I think is the greatest President we have ever had back in the Presidentcy the best man we ever had in the office! The Dimocrats for some strange reason wants to have America overrun with Mexicans and a bunch of other illeagles!! What is wrong with this picture? I think if we survive I think the Dimocratic Party, having shown the quility of thier leadership should be desolved and become a childrens nightmare !!!
I also hope the country can prosecute Biden and get a lot of the money him and his son stole or otherwise caroused from nations that were our friends until they let an idiot snuck into our White House and not only corrupted friendly nations but made our country a third world cesspool !
