I have with, limited experience, encountered elderly people who no longer feel the need to curb their social inhibitions. I cannot guess they psychological or medical/chemical reasons behind this save to say that with increased years comes a perspective based on more that the ephemeral and current social trends. I tend to agree that age offers a deeper perspective as to what truly matters in life, but civility should never be considered a trend. Walking on this Earth for a long period of time should only reinforce the understanding of the need for the social graces. But this does not always happen. What happens instead is a sense of arrogance that compels people to show disdain and utter contempt for anyone who disagrees with an ‘experienced’ perspective. It appears to me that President Biden exhibits this type of behavior and, should for that reason alone, be required to step aside as any action he takes will tend to prove to be detrimental to this country.
