According to Biden, Doug Griffin of Newton, New Hampshire, lost his 20-year-old daughter to a fentanyl overdose.
“In high school, Courtney learned about medications. And fell into a downward spiral of addiction before passing away from a fentanyl overdose. She had recently turned 20. Doug said, There’s no deeper anguish, when describing the past eight years without her,” said Biden.
“However, their family used their suffering for good. Working to reform legislation and eradicate stigma. He stated that he wants to begin the process of an American recovery. We’re with you, Doug,” he added.
“More than 70,000 Americans die from fentanyl each year,” according to Biden.
Republicans shouted phrases like “The border!” and “It’s from China!” throughout Biden’s speech.
Some shouted, “You’re to blame!” and “Secure the border!”
After pausing for a few moments, Biden said, “You got it!”
He continued by listing a number of criminal laws designed to aid law enforcement in putting a stop to fentanyl overdoses in the United States.
He sought to make the allegation that some of his border measures have really decreased illegal immigration from specific regions of Latin America during part of his address.
According to the president, “illegal immigration from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela has decreased by 97% since we implemented our new border plan last month.”
“In only the past few months,” he stated, “we have a record number of personnel working to defend the border, catching 8,000 human traffickers and recovering more than 23,000 pounds of fentanyl. But unless Congress takes action, the country’s border issues won’t be resolved.”
Republicans reacted negatively when Biden advocated for amnesty policies for illegal immigrants already living in the country.
Illegal is just that illegal. I’ll cross the borders into Mexico or Canada and set up shop there taking any program set aside for the indigent who are legal residents of those countries. I’m sure I get a one-way ticket back to the States for me. We have put hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens on the “dole” so to speak. If they need food, medical attention, housing, or anything to survive the White House wants to give everything to them and ignores the legal citizens of the United States. Give the illegal aliens the right to vote, and all the medical and other health care available. We have legal children and citizens, in general, in the Appalachians who go to bed hungry every night and need dental and medical care but will never see any help because they are not illegal foreigners. It’s time we stop helping our enemies and take care of our own citizens.

You hit the nail on the head. The glamour and glitz of being First Lady is more important than her husband’s welfare. That his cognitive ability is severely diminished is a danger for this country. It is absolutely imperative that he not be elected President in 2024.

Actually there are some Rhino Republicatians and some Dem’s that have a proposal for a bill doing just that. That part of his speech is true. That said we all need to write our politicians and demand Bidumb yes that is what I now call him be impeached then tried for Treason. They also want to take our guns and if that happens who do you think will have guns, the bad guys of course. You will then have no protection. All they do is make new laws that don’t work.
