He stated, “Texas has transported more than 102,000 migrants to blue state sanctuary cities. Overwhelmed border areas should not bear the pain of Biden’s policies. This will continue until Joe Biden secures the border.”
This move by Abbott is a direct response to the ongoing crisis at the border, where an unmanageable influx of illegal immigrants continues to challenge the resources and capabilities of Texas border communities. The governor’s strategy targets sanctuary cities, which traditionally support lax immigration policies, forcing them to confront the consequences of such policies firsthand. Democratic leaders in these cities, including New York City Mayor Eric Adams and Illinois Governor J.B.
