People Are Starting To Wonder Why Israel Hasn’t Attacked Yet

In the thick fog of war, uncertainty is often a deliberate stand, not just not knowing what to do. This might be true of Israel’s military plan in its war against Hamas. This past week, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said they were ready to step up the fight by deploying ground troops into the Gaza Strip, which is controlled by Hamas.

The IDF had gathered a large force around Gaza’s border, but it looks like the planned invasion has been put on hold, leaving the rest of the world guessing.

“Israel’s Defence Forces have been spending the past week prepping for an enormous military operation aimed at annihilating Hamas after some 360,000 reserve troops have been called up to surround Gaza with tanks, weaponry, and armored vehicles.”

“But currently the anticipated ground assault seems to be on pause, with IDF spokesperson Lieutenant Col. Richard Hecht declining to say whether or not his troops will be sent into the Palestinian territory.”

“We are getting ready for the next part of the war.” Lt Col Hecht joked, “We have yet to announce what that will be.”

“The ground offensive is what everyone is talking about. It could be something else.”

And in the meantime, Israel’s air force keeps bombing targets all over Gaza nonstop.

Hecht’s comments make it sound like the IDF might be rethinking its plans for a land invasion, or it might be planning an operation that is different from the attack that was first planned. The question is whether the IDF is purposely keeping information from its enemies to keep them off balance or whether it is really rethinking how to destroy Hamas.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently added to rumors of an attack by saying that plans are still being made for the ground assault. Aside from bombings and a few small raids here and there, the IDF hasn’t done much yet. That doesn’t mean Israel’s military hasn’t been busy. So far, they have freed hundreds of prisoners.

The fact that Israel’s delay occurs right before President Joe Biden departs for the Middle East for a meeting with Netanyahu adds even another crease to this embroidery. The president said again that he cares about Israel’s safety, but he also said that reoccupying Gaza would prove to be a “big mistake.” Could it be that the next step for the Israeli government won’t happen until after this meeting? It’s not impossible at all.

It’s also possible that the IDF is waiting to give themselves more time to free the prisoners and get them out of harm’s way before starting an attack on the ground. For Israel, this issue has been very important.

One more reason for this delay could be a matter of human rights. The United Nations and other groups have criticized Israel for putting a lockdown on Gaza, which has made things even worse for Palestinian residents who are currently struggling from the war and Hamas’s harsh rule. The break could be a chance to set up humanitarian ways to send help, which is something President Biden is likely to push for during his meetings with Netanyahu.

No matter what the wait is for, it would be silly to think there is no pattern to it. Israel has traveled this path many times. The IDF will probably have to take action against Hamas in some way, which will likely lead to the end of the terrorist group.

  1. Israel is waiting to make sure they get it right the first time can’t blame them. Hamas terrorist group must be stopped. There are some that is for the terrorist group, that’s hard cause how do you go on a side that cuts a baby’s head off and rapes the mother ? I would never stand by anyone or anything that would do something that evil !! How could one ? You may as well take a baby and kill it yourself – cause if you stand with the ones who do it – you do it !!!!!!!

  2. Of course, Israel is being held back by Biden. Israelis must comply otherwise they receive no ammo. Biden is owned by Iran, thus Hamas and Hesbollah. Verbal support from Biden is just blather from a person with Alzheimers. The stationing of ships off the coast is strictly a show.

Turkey, a NATO member is now entering the fray, sideib with Hamas and is sending its warships to counter the US fleet.
Biden will probably run in to his basement and hide……………………………….

  3. Biden is just giving lip service to Israel! Netanyahu should not trust him, he is sending even more of our tax dollars to the Palestinian authority( Hamas) disguised as “ humanitarian aid” for the Palestinians, which will go straight to Hamas! Biden knows this, he is funding terrorists with OUR tax dollars! Bibi should just send the IDF’s in and wipe out hamas while he can, and to hell with “ national opinion” ! It is HIS country, and Israel has the right to defend herself against terrorists! Biden needs to send the money he promised to Israel, NOT Ukraine or Hamas.
