“No Kings” Protestors Clash with America’s Real Patriots

They call themselves “No Kings,” but their reign of misinformation and division is exactly what real Americans reject. The organizers behind this weekend’s planned protests against President Trump’s patriotic celebration marking the 250th birthday of our U.S. Army have issued a video rallying their supporters, attempting to paint their radical demonstrations as heroic acts of patriotism. But let’s be clear: these protests represent neither patriotism nor courage. They are simply another misguided attempt by the left to undermine a president who dares to put America First.

Scheduled strategically on June 14, Flag Day and President Trump’s birthday, these activists aim to disrupt and diminish a powerful display of national pride. Under the guise of opposing “authoritarianism,” their real goal is painfully transparent—delegitimize President Trump, diminish American patriotism, and spread division. While their promotional video claims they are rising “for democracy and for our collective freedom,” their actions tell a different story. There is nothing democratic about protesting a patriotic salute to the brave men and women who built and defended our great nation.

The “No Kings” crowd has repeatedly accused President Trump of acting like a “wannabe king,” a predictable and tired attack that ignores reality. President Trump himself put it plainly, saying, “I don’t feel like a king; I have to go through hell to get stuff approved. No, no, we’re not a king, we’re not a king at all.” Indeed, this president has consistently championed limited government, deregulation, and the return of power from the federal bureaucracy to the American people. These are the principles of a leader who believes in freedom—not a king who believes in control.

Professor Scott Lucas, an international politics professor quoted sympathetically by the mainstream media, concedes the obvious: the protestors won’t immediately dissuade the Trump administration. But he misses the larger point entirely. These activists aren’t fighting authoritarianism; they’re fighting against an America First agenda that puts our nation—and all citizens—above globalist interests. Lucas says, “Americans are still standing up for what they think is vital about America.” He’s right about that—but dead wrong about who represents America’s vital interests.

The Trump administration has tirelessly pursued policies that strengthen America’s economic independence, revive our manufacturing industries, secure our borders, and end reckless foreign interventions. These are precisely the issues the left either ignores or actively undermines. The “No Kings” protesters claim they are fighting for “collective freedom,” but what freedom do they stand for exactly? Open borders, unlimited government spending, woke indoctrination in schools, appeasement abroad? That’s the kind of “freedom” Americans have rejected, and will continue to reject, under President Trump’s leadership.

This weekend’s protests are being coordinated across more than 30 states, involving over 100 organizations. The scale of this planned disruption highlights once again the lengths to which Trump’s opponents will go. President Trump has rightly warned that demonstrators who cross the line into violence or chaos “will be met with heavy force.” This is not authoritarianism; it’s common-sense law and order, which every responsible leader owes their citizens.

The “No Kings” organizers claim that “real power isn’t staged in Washington. It rises up everywhere else.” On this single point, we can partially agree. Real power lies not with the bureaucratic elites or left-wing agitators, but with everyday Americans who elected President Trump precisely because he rejects the status quo. The activists behind “No Kings” misunderstand America fundamentally. Americans don’t worship kings—we cherish freedom, we honor strength, and we respect leadership that puts our interests first.

As these protests unfold, Americans must remember what’s truly at stake. These demonstrations aren’t simply about opposing a parade. They’re about opposing an America First vision that puts patriotism, prosperity, and peace above globalist agendas and radical activism. On Flag Day, let’s proudly wave our stars and stripes. Let’s celebrate our Army’s historic milestone and our president’s unwavering courage in the face of relentless opposition. America doesn’t bow to radical protestors—we stand tall, free, and unapologetically proud.
