Democrats Betray America: Antisemitism Vote Sparks Outrage

Over one hundred House Democrats have just revealed their true colors, voting against a resolution condemning a horrific antisemitic terrorist attack in Boulder, Colorado. This vote sends a chilling message to Jewish communities across America and exposes the radical left’s troubling priorities. It is a stark reminder to every patriotic American that the Democrat Party, in its current form, is dangerously out of touch with our nation’s bedrock values.

The resolution, introduced by Rep. Gabe Evans (R-CO)—a decorated Army veteran and former police officer—was straightforward. It condemned an egregious firebombing attack targeting pro-Israel demonstrators, carried out by Mohamed Sabry Soliman, an Egyptian national who overstayed his visa and shouted “Free Palestine” before allegedly expressing his desire to kill Zionists. The resolution called out not only this terrorist act but also emphasized the crucial importance of enforcing immigration laws to prevent further violence. Yet, stunningly, 113 Democrats stood opposed.

Think about that for a moment: faced with a clear-cut act of antisemitic terror, these Democrat lawmakers chose partisan politics over moral clarity. The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) rightly blasted them, stating, “House Democrats just sided with terrorists over cops and couldn’t even bring themselves to condemn antisemitism. They’re officially the antisemite and anti-cop caucus.” Strong words, perhaps, but in this case, absolutely justified.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) exemplified the Democrats’ disgraceful response, dismissing the resolution and contemptuously mocking Rep. Evans as “a complete and total embarrassment.” Jeffries even went as far as calling the resolution a “joke.” Let that sink in: the Democrat leadership finds humor in a resolution condemning antisemitic violence and highlighting the dangers of weak immigration policy. This is beyond irresponsible—it is morally reprehensible.

Fortunately, Republicans and a minority of Democrats managed to pass the measure, affirming our nation’s stance against antisemitism and support for law enforcement agencies, including ICE. Evans himself responded forcefully to Jeffries’ insults, saying, “I served our nation in uniform in the Middle East, as a cop in Colorado, and now as a Congressman. This wildly offensive sentiment from Democrat’s Leader is why antisemitism persists. The Left is unserious about finding real solutions. Condemning terrorism is not a joking matter.” Evans gets it. He understands that the refusal to clearly condemn hate and violence emboldens terrorists and extremists on our own soil.

Some Democrats, like Rep. Joe Neguse (D-CO), tried to justify their hesitations by nitpicking minor “inaccuracies” and complaining the resolution did not sufficiently praise local police or the FBI. Yet even Neguse ultimately voted for the resolution. Other opponents, like Democrat Rep. Dan Goldman (NY), cynically accused Republicans of “using Jews as partisan pawns.” This twisted logic underscores a disturbing refusal to face reality: our immigration failures have allowed dangerous individuals to remain in America, putting innocent lives at risk. To ignore or minimize that fact is to play politics with American lives.

Let us be clear: This is not merely a partisan disagreement—it is a moral test. The Democrats who voted no have failed it spectacularly. They have chosen to appease the radical elements within their base rather than stand firmly against hatred and terrorism. They refuse to acknowledge the very real threat posed by lax border security and ineffective immigration enforcement, even when confronted by terrorism on American soil.

President Trump has consistently championed securing our borders, protecting American communities, and confronting antisemitism head-on—priorities that are more critical now than ever. Under his leadership, our nation has reaffirmed that we will not tolerate terrorism, hatred, or open defiance of our immigration laws. The Democrats’ disgraceful vote underscores precisely why we must remain vigilant, united, and committed to America First principles.

The radical left’s moral cowardice on display this week should alarm every patriotic American. We cannot let their dangerous ideology define our national character. Our nation deserves leaders who will unapologetically stand up for America’s security, our law enforcement heroes, and our cherished ally, Israel. This shameful vote clarifies the stakes: we must remain strong, principled, and resolute in rejecting antisemitism and protecting the American people.
