According to the New York Post, a detained Venezuelan “migrant influencer” who used to make fun of the United States to his 500,000 followers and urge border crossers to go and “invade abandoned houses” throughout the nation is now lamenting his lack of freedom.
In a 30-minute video broadcast from the confines of Geauga County Jail in Chardon, Ohio, Leonel Moreno bemoaned his unfair “persecution.”
“I fled persecution back home and came to the United States… However, they are punishing me in the United States for the same reason,” the 27-year-old stated.
“Everything in the media about me is false. They are slandering me. In the news, they are misrepresenting me.” I am a decent spouse, father, son, and individual; I am modest and courteous to those who hold me in high regard,” Moreno went on, utilizing only Spanish throughout the video conversation.
He sobbed, “I miss everything about my life—I miss being free!”
Following Moreno’s speech, a glass window opened on the screen, revealing prisoners seated at tables dressed in blue-striped jumpsuits. The prisoner appeared to be yelling something at Moreno at one point while wearing a frown.
“What is going on?” I could hear Moreno thinking to himself.
“I fear that they will take my life.” Anyone can come after my life!
According to paperwork from Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Moreno entered the country unlawfully in April 2022 at Eagles Pass, Texas, according to a Newsweek story. As a result, the authorities placed the Venezuelan in the Alternatives to Detention program, allowing ICE to trace migrants using technology and ankle monitors.
According to reports, Moreno moved to Columbus, Ohio, with his wife, Veronica Torres, and their young daughter. But once he did not return within 60 days of his arrival, ICE labeled him an “absconder.”
Thus, on Friday, the authorities in Gahanna, Ohio, took him into custody. Up until he began becoming popular on social media, Moreno’s location was unknown to federal officials.
According to internal government records obtained by Newsweek on Wednesday, Moreno was the subject of a communication between ICE and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives with the intention of filing charges under the Gun Control Act.
The statute prohibits parolees from receiving, shipping, transporting, or owning weapons or ammunition.
Moreno says he was in danger because of his social media posts, even though he was acting illegally.
“They would be correct if Leonel Moreno committed a crime or anything, but this is unjust since it is due to my job. My job is social media,” he declared.
“I cannot express what I want to say right now. Instead of being a free nation where we may freely express our innermost thoughts and feelings, we have turned into an oppressive nation. “The purpose of the United States’ creation was that, not oppression.”
What do they mean, “if he committed a crime” Breaking the law coming here illegally is no longer a crime? No wonder the justice system in this country has gone to hell.
Hopefully this LOW LIFE will get deported back to the hole he came from.
