Dean Cain, who used to play “Superman”, said he never thought he’d leave California, which he called his “forever home.” But he claimed the “most ridiculously large government,” “incredible taxation,” and other problems in the state have made it unlivable.
Regarding his choice to leave his Malibu house in May and move to Las Vegas, the 57-year-old actor talked candidly and questioned whether state officials were attempting to “tax people” out of the state, according to Fox News.
“My Malibu house was intended to be my forever home,” Cain explained to the magazine. “I was going to pass away there, and everything was going to turn out alright. The weather is great. Plus I had a beautiful home with the best views. Governments can make a place turn awful.”
He also said, “That is what’s happening in California. The things that are currently taking place under Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom and the Democratic leaders in the House and Congress are not what I voted for. In California, people actually voted for it. I did not.”
“But it has the silliest big government, the highest taxes, and the worst rules for businesses. Very against business,” Cain said. “The highest level of personal income tax is 13, 13.2 percent, no matter what it is. You have to pay the highest gas tax in the country. There is a tax on sales, food, energy, and natural gas. It looks like they want to tax folks out of there.”
The “Out of Time” star is leaving the state along with other actors, such as Mark Wahlberg, who just recently moved his family from California to Nevada.
The 52-year-old actor previously discussed relocating his family to Las Vegas with Fox News Digital, saying, “It is truly giving the kids an opportunity to thrive.”
“It just offers the best of both worlds,” he continued. “It’s true that for many people, Las Vegas means the Strip. But there are a lot of other great places for families and communities that are only 15 to 20 minutes away.”

As a resident of California for over 60 years, I can offer much from experience(s) about Califotnia. However, this deranged leadership is throughout our country, so you, will eventually find “there’s no place to escape from this insanity. As a California resident, I can tell you that there are some of us that are smart enough to vote non-Demo. The problems that I have seen is that most voters “don’t listen” to the “promises and denials” that the Demos say. Newscum (yes, I said it) has promised that he would investigate the high price of gasoline. That was at least 2 months ago (probably 3), and nothing has been said since. I told my wife then, that was BS, he wasn’t going to do anything. And, he has not done anything. People in Pennsylvania didn’t know what to believe from Biden….first was “No more fracking”, then next day “I will not stop fracking”! But they voted for him anyway….why (?) “because he is a Demo and been in politics for years, so he must know what he is doing”! The problem seems to be that we have become so self-involved that we have failed to stop and listen to what Politian’s are saying, and simply vote for the Party. Even now, most people don’t believe that this Nation is heading in the wrong direction and the economy is getting worse day by day.
