Elon Musk, a multibillionaire business magnate, has continued to oppose allowing gender-transition procedures to be carried out on adolescents, tweeting that “gender-affirming care for minors is pure evil.”
Musk responded to Jordan Peterson tweet in which he said that the “term ‘gender-affirming’ care is a criminally terrible lie.”
The word refers to actions that accomplish practically the complete opposite of validating a person’s unchanging biological sex, such as surgeries, cross-sex hormones, as well as puberty blockers.
Musk said in a tweet last week that he planned to work to “criminalize” the use of irreversible gender transition procedures on children before they were old enough to provide permission.
“This is a serious issue. I will vigorously advocate for legislation making it illegal to significantly alter youngsters who aren’t old enough to give their permission. Shame on the proponents of this! It is just disgraceful,” he said.
In a tweet from April, Elon Musk expressed his opinion that “we must wait until a person becomes mature enough to be able to make choices for themselves before we as adults inflict permanent, major physical alterations to them.”
Musk responded on Twitter this week in response to a tweet from The Rabbit Hole, which stated that “‘Gender Affirming Care’ can be in the best of instances a euphemism as a paid yes-man that continues to affirm illusions and in the most severe of cases a euphemism for placing children on terrible drugs or just outright child mutilation.”
“It entails castration,” said Musk.
According to Musk, using people’s chosen pronouns is just “good manners.”
He said on Twitter, “I should mention that I do personally use someone’s chosen pronouns, the same way I use a person’s preferred name, just out of good manners.”

Everything Mr Musk said was self-evidently true; with a small caveat. I favour politeness and courtesy in public discourse even towards those whose views I find repugnant; however, I do not feel this should go so far as to effectively display acceptance of devients in society by falling in line with their misuse of pronouns, as I would feel it wrong to apply the honorific “Mrs” to a child bride.
