The phrases “cis” and “cisgender,” frequently used by transgender campaigners to disparage and de-normalize normal individuals, have been flagged by Twitter owner Elon Musk as insults.
Musk made this promise in response to a tweet from author and aspiring psychotherapist James Esses, who claimed to have been subjected to a flood of abusive usage of the term “cis” following his declaration that he preferred not to be addressed by it.
“Yesterday, following a Tweet in which I stated that I detested the term ‘cis’ and didn’t want to be addressed as such, I received a barrage of messages from trans activists referring to me as ‘cissy’ and informing me that I am ‘cis’ ‘regardless of whether I like it.’ Imagine the situation if the positions were reversed,” Esses stated.
In reaction, Musk stated that “abusive users will get, at the very least, interim bans for their actions.”
“On this platform, the terms ‘cis’ and ‘cisgender’ are considered insults.”
A flurry of conversations followed Musk’s remark. One critic, feminist author Genevieve Gluck, emphasized the term “cisgender”‘s roots, which were given by German “sexologist” Volkmar Sigusch, who also studied “child sexuality.”

It will mark the first occasion that a mainstream phrase or talking point from the political left has been deemed to be off-limits by a significant social media site if Twitter does designate the term “cisgender” as a slur or word of abuse.

If they insist on calling us “cis” because they claim that’s what we really are, then we can call them what they really are- a man in a dress is still a man, even if he thinks he is a “woman “ and vice versa. These morons don’t control anyone language!

Anyone, including parents, who thinks it’s OK for teachers to encourage school-age kids that they should want transgender info and be able to have a sex change especially without parental permission, should be sterilized and have their children removed from their home. It is not OK to teach/expose K thru 3rd graders about sex, trans, drag queens – let them be kids playing kid games. SMH in disgust!
