Democrats’ New Low: Newsom’s Unhinged Meltdown Leaves GOP Stunned

There’s a certain kind of politician who, when backed into a corner, can’t find a coherent argument — so they reach for a grenade instead. No policy. No facts. Just pure, unfiltered rage dressed up as moral superiority. And nobody in America does that move quite like California’s very own Hair Gel Hamlet, Gavin Newsom.

Here’s what set him off. New York City’s new mayor, Zohran Mamdani, decided to roll out the welcome mat for Mahmoud Khalil — yes, that Mahmoud Khalil — at Gracie Mansion for a Ramadan meal. The same Khalil who called the October 7 Hamas massacre an “unavoidable moment” in the Palestinian struggle. The same guy who later declined to condemn Hamas when asked point-blank. That guy. Dinner guest of the mayor of New York City.

Senator Tommy Tuberville saw the image circulating online pairing a photo of the September 11 attacks with a picture of Mamdani and reposted it with four words: “The enemy is inside the gates.”

Now, you can agree or disagree with Tuberville’s approach. But what happened next wasn’t a rebuttal. It wasn’t a counterargument. It was a gubernatorial tantrum on X.

“Tommy Tuberville proves to the world that a football hitting your head can turn you into a racist piece of shit. Congrats, Tommy.”

That’s the Governor of California. The guy who wants to be your next president. That’s his pitch to America.

No defense of Mamdani’s judgment. No reckoning with the fact that the NYC mayor literally broke bread with a man who wouldn’t condemn a terror attack that murdered 1,200 people. Just a cheap shot at a former football coach and a profanity-laced accusation of racism — because when you have no argument, call someone a racist and watch the media carry you home.

Mamdani, for his part, played the victim card with Olympic-level precision, tweeting:

“Let there be as much outrage from politicians in Washington when kids go hungry as there is when I break bread with New Yorkers.”

Ah yes. The old “what about hungry children” deflection. Classic. You host a man who helped rationalize a baby-killing rampage, and when people notice, you pivot to school lunches. That’s not politics. That’s a magic trick with no rabbit.

Meanwhile, Newsom’s social media meltdown tells you everything about where the Democratic Party is right now. They’ve got a frontrunner for 2028 who can’t make it through a news cycle without dropping expletives like a teenager who just discovered he can curse without his parents hearing. This is the guy who ran California into the ground, watched his constituents flee to Texas in a caravan of U-Hauls, and still struts around like he’s FDR in designer clothes.

The left used to at least pretend to take the high road. Now they’re not even bothering with the pretense. Newsom didn’t call Tuberville’s post reckless or irresponsible — he called him a piece of excrement on a public platform while holding the highest office in the largest state in the union. That’s not passion. That’s a man auditioning for a cable news scream-fest while accidentally revealing he’s got nothing left in the tank.

Republicans aren’t stunned because they’ve never heard profanity. They’re stunned because this is supposedly the Democrats’ best hope — their polished, telegenic, blow-dried answer to Trump — and he’s out here lighting himself on fire over a repost.

Gavin Newsom wants to lead the free world. Right now, he can’t even lead a sentence without tripping over his own mouth.
