Democrats Find An Elitist “Cause” For The Maui Wildfires

Senator Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) made the claim that climate change contributed to the devastating Maui wildfires that claimed almost 100 lives and left over 1,000 people missing this week.

But scientists, including meteorologists, caution against jumping to conclusions just yet.

What did Hirono have to say?

Jake Tapper, the anchor of CNN’s “State of the Union,” set up Hirono to lay blame on climate change for this sad incident, and she fell for the trap.

“Experts say that since climate change is causing bigger storms, higher temperatures, and more widespread droughts, major disasters like this one will only become more frequent.”

“Yes,” said Hirono. “I believe it is imperative that we acknowledge the impact of climate change. By the way, there are entire states where you aren’t even allowed to mention climate change due to their continued denial of the issue.”

Extreme weather conditions can have disastrous and devastating effects on human life. This is not an anomaly.

This past week, the National Weather Service issued a warning that a “strong pressure gradient” will develop over Hawaii due to a high-pressure system going directly north of the Hawaiian islands alongside a powerful low-pressure cyclone, a category 4-hurricane Dora, traveling to the south of the islands of Hawaii.

It will be warm and dry, and there is a good probability that severe winds may cause damage. As a result, there will likely be more wildfires than usual.

Portugal was hit by a comparable harsh weather event in 2017.

Additionally, USA Today noted that invasive plant species may have increased the likelihood of wildfires on Hawaiian territory

“In the past two decades, the number of wildfires in Hawaii has quadrupled, and many experts blame the uncontrolled, non-native grasses that plantations, ranchers, and other people unfamiliar with the island’s original ecosystems have planted there. The grass is dry and flammable.”

“There is absolutely no question that fire-prone grasslands have taken over drier Hawaiian ecosystems triggering larger, fiercer fires,” said Peter Vitousek, an earth sciences professor from Stanford University near Palo Alto, California.

Particularly on the island of Maui, there are drought conditions that have made the wind and moisture shortage issues worse.

“The worst flames often happen when there is a drought.” According to atmospheric scientist Jason Otkin, “there is a larger window of opportunity for fires to erupt if a region experiences dryness fast.”

Climate alarmists will continue to attribute the raging fires to climate change. They contend that extreme weather occurrences are occurring more often than before. But given that weather records have only been consistently kept for fewer than 200 years on a planet that is said to be billions of years old, it is a challenging claim to support.

  1. When the rich start running from their beach front properties And banks quit loading money for them. Then I may be inclined to believe you until then fuck off.

  2. If only the Hawaiians had given all their money to the climate change hucksters … well …it wouldn’t have changed anything.

  3. I still would like to see the documentary they stopped the guy from posting a few years back. All his time and money and they would not let him air the truth. They are flourishing. Nothing like the single bear floating with no way out.

  4. WHY Maui? I wanted California to be first to burn to the ground. Damned climate change. We can still pray for a major earthquake in Washington DC, or 500 million killer bees.

  5. This FALSE INFORMATION ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE NEEDS TO QUIT!
There are folks out there believing this stuff, when scientifically its been proven that climate change is a hoax!
For GOD’S sake people research this, these incompetent fools pushing for this ignorant climate change ideology aren’t specialists or professionals in this field.
