Bonus Points if You Can Guess Which CNN Talking Head This Joke is About

It took us a minute to decipher this meme, because it was so cleverly done. It’s actually a joke about CNN’s Brian Stelter, who was just fired from his job hosting the show “Reliable Sources” this week. It’s been a long-running joke on Twitter, probably started by Kurt Schlichter of Townhall, that Brian Stelter is actually a potato.

The joke stems from the fact that Stelter actually looks like the living embodiment of Mr. Potato Head. But it’s funnier and easier to just call him a potato. He’s had a lot of potato-related nicknames thrown at him over the years, ever since he was first outed as a potato. “Tater” Stelter is one of our favorites!

It’s been a rough year for CNN. Former CEO Jeff Zucker got booted for a sex scandal. The weightlifting guy, Fredo Cuomo, got the boot as well. CNN also fired three employees who came to work at their Atlanta headquarters will being unvaccinated. Oh, and even Jeffrey Toobin is zooming his way out of the building this month.

Later, Tater!
