We have special laws established to protect Supreme Court justices from mob threats. That’s because the Supreme Court is the one branch of our government that we don’t want to be subject to the whims of the crowd. We need them to be loyal to the Constitution, not to whatever current fad is being pushed by the media. But that’s not good enough for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
“AOC” was asked this week if it’s acceptable for Supreme Court justices to be threatened at their homes or in public places. She said that’s perfectly fine. That’s democracy! Sometimes when you’re a public figure, you have to put up with a lot of weirdos because it just comes with the territory.
Sorry, Brett Kavanaugh. Your children being threatened by a mob is just something you’re gonna have to live with. That’s Ocasio-Cortez’s position.
But then a comedian recorded a selfie video on the Capitol steps as AOC was returning from lunch this week. It was kind of dumb, but kind of funny. He complimented her looks and talked way too much about her rear end. And then she pitched a fit, because she doesn’t think that she should be harassed in public.
Tells you a lot, doesn’t it?
