At least eight states have taken decisive action to guarantee that their citizens will not have the option to buy new gas-powered automobiles as the Biden administration plans to phase out gas cars by 2032.
Commencing with the 2035 model year, manufacturers and dealerships will be unable to sell any new gas-powered automobiles. Instead, they will only be able to provide consumers in participating states—which are emulating California—with zero-emission models.
Following in the footsteps of Rhode Island, other states that have joined the frenzy about climate change include Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Washington.
The personal finance website Money pointed out that “all of the planned prohibitions are in coastal areas,” which is not unexpected.
Legislative approval of the state plans is typically not necessary. “Rather, governments and environmental authorities have supported their growth,” the website stated in an even more revealing remark.
Governor of Connecticut Ned Lamont apparently gave up trying to get on the “ban wagon” after facing opposition from legislators in his state.

Although several other governments have started to implement the overreaching laws in some capacity, they have not completely committed to the 2035 deadline. By 2032, 82% of new automobiles in Delaware and Colorado must be zero-emission vehicles, while New Mexico may adopt portions of the Advanced Clean Cars II statute in addition to setting yearly goals for the sale of new zero-emission models.
But Republican governor Glenn Youngkin has already voiced his opposition to a ban, while Democratic governors Phil Scott and Scott of Vermont have not said that they will follow their example. Youngkin’s issue stems from Virginia’s reliance on California laws.
Virginia enacted laws tying the state to California standards. According to a representative of the organization Ceres, the law currently mandates VA to implement ACC II beginning with Model Year 2026.

Let the auto makers build electric cars if they like, and let the people buy the kind of car they like, whether it is gas or electric. There are a lot of problems with electric cars right now and by 2035 may be a lot more. What happens to all the gas stations when they mandate a ban on gas cars? There are millions of them in this country that will be shut down and millions of job losses from gas stations and oil production. I am sorry but I am from MN and it gets very cold here in the winter and for me u can stick these EVs up where the sun don’t shine because I will not buy. One reason being they are to expensive and some people are on fixed incomes who can afford these worthless vehicles after 100 thousand miles u have to replace batteries and that could cost 10 grand who can afford that and what about college kids who don’t have a lot of money. No way will I buy one.

There are two thoughts and one is right and the other is wrong. The problem is that the Democrats hitched their wagon to the earth is unable to heal itself, because mankind has done all the damage. Earth is vastly overcrowded, and less than 1% of the people on Earth can even come close to feeding themselves. Few, if any, ever plant anything, much less a tree. Solar on homes is very helpful in reducing that home’s use, but large solar projects have limited life. Americans have made no effort to reduce pollution in 40 years.
