You’re not imagining the number in this meme. The House of Representatives did in fact just vote to give themselves a 21% pay increase. In the midst of the economic wreckage that Joe Biden has just caused, Congress will be okay. They gave themselves a pay raise that is slightly higher than the 15 to 17% Bidenflation.
Yessirree! Congress is going to weather this storm just fine. And based on what a great job they’re all doing at running the country, don’t they sort of deserve a pay raise of that magnitude? They kind of earned it, right?
If you suspected last week that Congress was a bit “out of touch” with ordinary Americans, this vote for a 21% pay increase using your tax dollars should seal the deal. This is the type of action that makes everyday people suddenly want to go out and buy some pitchforks and torches. Or possibly some tar and feathers.
And in a true gesture of generosity, Congress voted to give active-duty troops a 2.7% pay increase. 21% for themselves… and 2.7% for the troops.
NOT SURPRISED!

Of course congressmen ( and women) …. hope it’s ok to still refer to them as that, aren’t affected by inflation.
Their annual salary is $175,000.00 dollars a year plus all of the corruption monies that seem to find there way into their greedy little existences.
Just look at the Clintons, the Obamas, the Pelosi family, ANY of these reprobate thieves that call themselves difference makers. A travesty, these liars. Rot in hell

I don’t understand the people in this country voting for a party that only wants to destroy our country.The Democrats may think this will not effect them now but in the long run it will.This country will never be the same again for them, or their children, or their Grand children! I’m in my 80s and I can face what’s coming , but a lot of people won’t be able to.I pity this Government when God gets angry and allows what’s coming down the line.
