On “The Source” on CNN this week, Gov. Brian Kemp (R-GA) claimed that if former President Trump continues to speak about suspected voting fraud in the 2020 election, he risks losing the state of Georgia in the 2024 presidential race.
“We need somebody who can win and defeat Joe Biden,” Kemp stated. “That can triumph in Georgia. If we are unable to defeat Georgia, we have no chance of winning the White House. So I have kept my attention on it, and I actually have a message for every candidate out there. Listen, we need to explain to Americans what we stand for. We need to be proactive and let them know what we intend to accomplish. The rearview mirror is not where we should be looking. A candidate who can defeat Joe Biden must be on the ballot.”
“You claim that Georgia must be included on the path to the White House,” according to anchor Kaitlan Collins. “Will Trump be able to win Georgia? Currently, he is the front-runner.”
“Well, I believe he can since Joe Biden’s been such a lousy president,” Kemp said. “Right now in Georgia, his approval ratings have reached an all-time low. Thus, I believe he can. If he doesn’t follow my advice and tell people what he stands for, keep focused on the contest, and stop thinking about the 2020 election, I believe he might lose Georgia. For God’s sake, it happened two and a half maybe three years ago. The American people are interested in learning what you will do for me.”
Collins reacted by saying, “You declared at a GOP donor retreat that, quote, ‘Not one swing voter across all the swing states would vote for our nominee if they chose to speak about the 2020 election being stolen. The leading Republican candidate continues to make that claim and brings it up frequently.”
“I believe that if he keeps acting in that way, he will lose Georgia in November,” Kemp warned. “Regardless of how you might feel about the election, people are not concerned about the past.”
Kemp you really have no idea how many of us in the country saw the corruption and continued BS against we who see the dems as totally deep state elitest and cheaters. There is deep distrust for you as governor! Be bold enough to get rid of all machines as NONE of them are secure. Paper ballots, precinct captains and each precinct posts the results. There is a great truism that states, ” to ignore history, is to repeat the mistakes of the past”. I totally believe this, however, like most everything else, it has it’s limitations. It should be the foundation for change and a constant awareness, but as an understanding not a constant droning talking point.
As one who believes that, yes, the 2020 election was rife with corruption, not just in Georgia, but, in many other states as well, it is history.
