Now that we know just how shady the mask-making company 3M has turned out to be, this meme is starting to take on a new meaning. The dark side really does most of the masks!
In case you missed it, Florida health officials were trying to procure respirator masks from 3M. But it turns out, there weren’t any available. Or, a better way of putting it would be to say, there weren’t any masks available for Americans.
As it turns out, 3M distributors told Florida officials that foreigners have been showing up with cash at the warehouses and purchasing all the masks they’re making here in the US. So, when doctors and nurses in American hospitals need masks during this pandemic, there aren’t available because the American company making them is exporting them to foreign countries and refusing to sell them our states.
That’s shady, pathetic and borderline treasonous. Fortunately, when President Trump found out about it, he invoked the Defense Production Act to stop 3M from selling all the respirator masks to foreign countries and exporting them.
