Leftist Lawyer Defending Mass Shooter Invents A New Form Of “Racism”

The Philadelphia looter who goes by the name “Meatball” is represented by a lawyer who says criticizing the suspected culprit is equivalent to a “assault” on minorities.

Last week, Dayjia Blackwell, also known as Meatball, filmed and followed a group of thieves as they broke into several stores, including an Apple shop and a Lulemon. Meatball was detained by police for allegedly inciting the looting while live-streaming it to her roughly 200,000 Instagram followers.

Meatball’s attorney, Jessica Mann, asserts that Blackwell has become a victim of racism.

“It sickens me to see the media supporting what I can only call an all-out attack on black and brown people, where their character and actions are viciously criticized,” Mann said.

The lawyer said the cops posted a picture of Meatball’s mugshot “with tears running down her cheeks and her hair in a mess to generate “clicks” and sell a scandalous story.”

The lawyer went on:

“The real story should indicate that Dayjia did nothing more than show how angry people really were when she streamed what happened in Philadelphia on the evening of September 26, 2023.” But the media appears to have forgotten what made her do what she did. Every charge against the police officer Mark Dial, who actually killed Eddie Irizarry without any reason, was dropped. Then, the officers of the Philadelphia Police Department tried to hide the horrible crime by telling lies and trickery.”

She has been charged with six crimes and her bail was set at $25,000.

The events that “catalyzed” Meatball’s participation in last week’s looting were reported by John Nolte of Breitbart News:

“What’s the point of all this?” A judge in Philadelphia dropped the killing charges against a police officer who shot a driver. Bodycam footage revealed that the driver had a knife hidden. The police officer says he thought it was a gun because he only observed the black handle of the knife. Both the defense as well as the judge agreed that the charges should never have been brought. Then the mainly peaceful looting started.”
