Gun Owners Win AGAIN! Dems Furious Over New Freedom

After Governor Jeff Landry signed Constitutional Carry legislation into law, Louisiana became the 28th state in the union on March 5, 2024.

On March 5, pro-Second Amendment advocates, including members of the National Association for Gun Rights, were present during the law’s signing. At this signing were Deputy Director of State Affairs Matt Mammoser and Vice President Ryan Fluguar of NAGR.

“It’s a fantastic day for the people of Louisiana,” Flugaur said. “We would like to express our gratitude to the 80,000 National Association for Gun Rights members and supporters who signed petitions urging the enactment of a clean law. The result may have been very different in their absence. NAGR was actively advocating for the approval of Constitutional Carry by elected officials prior to the enactment of this law. On the first day of Louisiana’s Second Extraordinary Session on February 20, NAGR personnel handed out 80,000 petitions urging lawmakers to approve Senate Measure 1, the Constitutional Carry measure. Senator Blake Miguez of the state was the bill’s sponsor.

NAGR has been trying to have Constitutional Carry passed in Louisiana for the past few years. Danny McCormick, a state representative, was the original sponsor. The state legislature had already enacted the relevant law, but they were unable to secure the signature of Democratic Governor John Bel Edwards at the time.

The National Association for Gun Rights PAC endorsed Governor Jeff Landry in 2023 for his strong support of enacting Constitutional Carry, therefore, NAGR finally achieved its desire.

The fundamental idea behind constitutional carry is that law-abiding gun owners who are able to lawfully own a weapon may lawfully carry it about, hidden or otherwise, without needing to get permission from the government. The Constitutional Carry Statute of Louisiana will take effect on July 4, 2024.

The most effective legislative change that the Right has supported in the past 50 years is constitutional carry. This law is currently in effect in 28 states, and South Carolina is probably about to approve a similar law.

Without a doubt, the Right ought to examine Constitutional Carry’s political triumph and apply it to other matters.

  1. Sadly, this will never happen in Minnesota! Governor Tim “Jong” Walz and the rest of the commie democrats are destroying our State.

  2. So glad, all the states should have the right to own and carry a gun. Now that are president has committed treason by letting all those illegal felons into are country, we need the right to protect ourselves.

  3. All the states have the right to own, carry guns. A lot of you people must remember that all there gun control laws are illegal, that’s why they hate the constitution. They don’t have the power to enact there bullshit. Even biden can’t give a presidential order to rid us of our rights. A lot of our problems come from lower court federal judges who were put there by obama. Even in my state Ma we had a court ruling saying ar15s are not a defensive weapon, only hand guns. This ruling was from one of obamas sick demented judges! The Constitution is the law of the land, not some sick dem or rino whose been in office to long and becoming rich on our money!
